Neoliberalism: Impact and Ideology

Neoliberalism is an economic philosophy that emerged in the 1930s advocating for privatization and free markets over state control and intervention. It is built on ideas of individual liberty and limiting taxes, regulation, and government interference in markets. Neoliberalism led to debates between economists like Hayek and Keynes over the appropriate level of government involvement in economies. While neoliberalism aims to reduce unemployment through free markets, it can also increase inequality and financial instability. It influences education systems by increasing privatization and tuition fees.

1. DESCRIPTION
The video aims to state what Neoliberalism is, if this is a Dirty word or foundation of a healthy
economy and what is the Function. Also
2. DISCUSSION
During 1930’s only Friedrich Hayek had a capacity to think and create an ideology that unites the
enemies in scorn but has inspired government and entrepreneurs. In 18 th Century, Neoliberalism idea
was built on classical liberalism and a defence of individual liberty, which is protecting private property,
and the freedom of markets from external interference, taxes, regulation, levies as much as possible.
Although Neoliberalism argued that, the market was not just an absence of interference, it could
produce philosophy or a way of thinking all of its own. Neoliberalism has a lot of term of abused hurled
by opponents at economic globalisers, nasty banker or government limiting spending on public works or
welfare. In the video, Neoliberalism compare to a rotten tomato because neo is means new and has
morphed into a way of signalling I don’t Like this one bit but Neoliberalism is an entire mind set of
approaches to the way state and market interact worth our aspirations emphasizing privatisation, over
state control as the best way to deliver public services. Neoliberalism led to one of the great punch-ups
of economist between Hayek and John Maynard Keynes. Furthermore, Keynes argued that government
should get involved to increase demand to keep productivity up, and decrease the unemployment
however, Hayek wrote a snotty book review of one of Keynes major works. At the end of their
argument, the public sector strikes and worries about “stagflation” and persuaded some mould-
breakers to look back to neoliberalism as a way to perk up flagging economies. Therefore, the ruthless
dictator Augusto Pinochet marked down the democratic scorecard of neoliberalism. They created a
more testing mood towards de-regulation in 2007 to 2008 and Neoliberalism gained a bad rep because
taxpayers who had to bail out the banks. Inevitable, it leads to such fast-paced uncontrolled
globalisation because it does away with barriers to trade and to financial flows. So we can say the
corporation above the nation. Nevertheless, the globalised world we inhabit one of start-ups, the ability
to move money and borrow cheaply and companies operating across border.
3. DIALOUGE
The Video talks about how neoliberalism emerged during in World War. They say that
neoliberalism is the one who is protecting the private property about their freedom of markets, taxes,
regulations and levies but in my opinion How about the public sector? Who will the one who fights for
their freedom?. Although the Goal of neoliberalism is to reduce the unemployment.
4. REFLECTION
Neoliberalism has an impact to us because it can change our ways in which the education
prepare although several teachers are facing different pressure to produce effective plan to disseminate
the knowledge to every students. This neoliberalism increases the tuition fees in private institution. The
Neoliberalism assumes that when all schools are improved and all families have school choice, they will
have a better system of schools to choose from and that they will choose the school that best suits their
needs.
