Student Registration Guide

This document provides directions for students registering for college courses. Student Directions for Registration

Read all of these directions before you try to register!


Items to remember as you register…
 Students should be actively working on registration while in the room. Students should not be on the phone or on
any website other than the APSU One Stop unless instructed to do so.
 Juniors pick 1 college course and Seniors pick 2 classes unless approval has been given for more.
 You only take 1000 and 2000 level courses. Pay attention to prerequisites for a course.
 Students with a valid ACT English score of 28-30 (SAT Verbal score of 630-690) receive credit for English 1010.
Valid ACT English score of 31-36 (SAT Verbal score of 700-800) receive credit for English 1010 and 1020 at
APSU.
 Dr. Muckleroy has the final approval on ALL college and high school courses.

Please consult the list below if you need to substitute a college class for a high school class.
Fine arts = ART 1035, MUS 1030, or THEA 1030
US History = HIST 2010 and HIST 2020
US Government= POLS 2010
World History = HIST 2310 and HIST 2320

Pay attention to any letters that appear in the section type for a class. This would be a letter appearing before or
after the number.
 “W” are online classes.
 “E” are Enhanced Classes.

Pay attention to the name of a course. These words could appear with the course name for a class.
 Enhanced- Students may NOT register for this class.
 Honors- Students may NOT register for this class
 Hybrid- This class is a combination of online and classroom meetings. Student may ONLY register for this class
with principal’s approval.

Once you have registered


 Email Mrs. Mendoza the “STUDENT DETAILED SCHEDULE.”
Directions to view your schedule-
1. Click on Student
2. Click on Registration
3. Click on “Student Detail Schedule”, Do not select a different schedule.
4. Select the term if needed.
5. Make sure that your entire schedule appears. Highlight the schedule. Paste into the body of an email to
[Link]@[Link] Do NOT take a picture of the schedule or add as an attachment.
 If there were mistakes on your high school schedule (a class was left off, enrolled in the wrong course), let the
teacher know when you turn in your paperwork. Mrs. Mendoza will email you regarding the change at a later time
to let you know the results of your request.
