    without the heavy burden of a tablet PC.

    Large Touch-Drive Screen

    As the latest addition to our comprehensive range of hand-held field controllers, the Topcon Tesla is something
    special! It’s most prominent feature is its screen - with a large 5.7” full color VGA (640 x 480) back-lit LCD display,
    and a full active viewing area with switching from landscape to portrait orientations, you can use the device in
    exactly the way you need to, for all applications.

    Connected

    Using the integrated WiFi, Bluetooth or RS232C Serial connection, the Tesla can be used as an advanced field
    computer receiving RTKcorrections in use with our GR-5 or HiPer II GNSS receivers or logging raw measurement
    data from total stations such as our IS-3 or QuickStation (QS) models.

    Powered

    With twin hot-swappable Li-ion batteries, the Tesla has the power to keep going for 16 hours, and thanks to
    the IP67 Ingress Rating, MIL-STD-810G compliance and working temperature range of –30°C to 60°C, it will
    always work… even if you can’t!

    Fast 806 MHz processor, 256Mb RAM, 4Gb flash storage

    The Windows Mobile 6.5.3 operating system provides a modern operating environment and added expandability with
    other application software. The fast 806MHz processor with 256Mb RAM and 4Gb flash storage drives all of the
    Topcon field application softwares with ease.

    Bluetooth and WiFi

    Bluetooth and WiFi come standard. With Topcon’s other advanced systems coming to market with built-in WiFi, this
    form of data exchange will become more and more important. Use it in a typical Hotspot to surf the web, check
    weather, or e-mail files back to the office.

    Built in 3.2MP camera

    A 3.2MP camera with auto focus picture taking ability. That is why we built-in 4Gb of flash storage. Store hundreds
    of photos, and if you happen to fill the memory, simply use a common USB flash drive to offload images.

    Internal GPS

    The GPS option provides a navigational GPS functionality that is capable of accuracies in the 2-5 meter range, with
    real-time SBAS/WAAS. This internal GPS can be used for navigation or general positioning. This GPS position can
    be used with MAGNET software to place your position displayed on BINGTM Maps overlay.

    3.5G Cellular Modem

    The optional internal cellular modem is a global modem capable of fast data communication. The modem is a GSM
    with superior antenna design that provides excellent cellular coverage.
