Agri-tech and food security in the UAE with Israeli technologies.

Food security emerges as a key area in which the UAE longs for Israeli technology.
The Gulf country imports more than 90 percent of its food. This has long been a
concern, but the problem intensified when the COVID-19 pandemic travel
suspension disrupted delivery for several months. The UAE now has a food safety
minister and a Food Security Council to find solutions to food shortage and
coverage.
The recent Israeli-UAE online investment conference dedicated to agricultural
technology and food security was conducted with the aim of helping the Gulf
country meet one of its central challenges, which emerged most acutely among
the coronavirus epidemic worldwide. Israeli established companies in areas such
as agricultural accuracy and irrigation, seed management, pest removal and solar
energy could quickly enter the UAE host country and possibly co-operate with the
introduction of UAE Agri-tech.
However, both the UAE and Israel look forward to irrigating the UAE deserts with
the technology that has worked in Israel. SupPlant, GES, AlgaHealth and other
companies are already showing their interest in the UAE, which could fall into the
UAE and economic growth in Israel. Top UAE officials, banks and investors have
also said Israeli technology has much to offer Gulf countries as they seek to
increase local food production and ensure food security.
