Grading Scale 60 - MINIMUN PASSING GRADE

All courses count towards the calculation of GPA. However, the relative weight of each course depends upon the credit
hours for that particular course. All academic courses are worth 1.0 credit hours, while non-academic courses are worth 0.25
credit hours. As such, courses such as Physical Education, Art, and Music only have 1/4th the value of academic courses in
terms of affecting a student’s GPA. The grading system used by the Ministry of education and Colegio Metropolitano is
calculated over 100% with 60% being the required minimum for passing. To calculate GPA the school uses the standard scale
as suggested by the College Board.
