1. Why did you take criminology? Explain.

- I chose this course because it can lead me to the achievement of my dream. Growing up as a
kid, I really wanted to become a policeman. I imagined, way back then, myself wearing their
uniforms and contributing in some law enforcement activities. Criminology, in general, is
quite a challenge. It requires both mental and emotional stability as it requires high
standards of inputs from the students. I was truly challenged at first however, when I think
of my goal, it makes me want to try even harder. With hard work and grit, I know I can make
it. The training, both physical and intellectual, is both a challenge and a joy to work with.

2. If you are given a chance to be a part of or work in the government agency like PNP, BFP, BJMP,
etc. What can you contribute to that agency? Explain.

- If given the chance to be a part of the work force in government agencies like that of the
PNP, BFP, BJMP, and the like, I would work hard to be a relevant member of these
organizations. I would follow diligently all the given protocols to become a good associate of
such offices. I would utilize my knowledge on the activities that are involved in such career.
It would be hard, but it would be very much worth it. To serve these agencies is just like
serving the people of our country, and that alone is very noble. It would both be of great
pride and joy to be able to serve the country and its people.

3. And if you’re not going to practice your profession in the government agency? What is your next
plan?

- I would love to impart my knowledge to students by becoming an educator. The academe is

a great outlet for me convey my understanding on how to become a good criminologist. If
ever I would not end up becoming a part of the government agencies like that of the PNP,
BFP, and BJMP, becoming a teacher would be my next plan. It would be a joy to see
students learn because of me. Helping other people in reaching their goals would make me
glad. Molding young individuals to become what they want, and training them to become
good citizens are such fulfilling acts.

4. Are you a leader? Explain what is your characteristic of a leader and how can you apply it in your
daily life? And if you are not, how can you help your organization as a member to be more
effective than what it is today?

- I have both characteristics of a leader and a member; thus, I could be both. Being a leader is
a hard task, however I do believe that I possess characteristics of such individual. I can be
resilient in some given situations, just what a leader should do. Resiliency can lead us to
great wonders. Dealing with life, especially during this time of the pandemic, is quite
challenging. There are events that are unexpected but must still be taken into consideration
because there is no choice at all. A leader’s attitude of resiliency can save group’s situation
during unknown circumstances. On the other hand, being a member requires us to be
obedient. Members of an organization must learn to obey the commands of their leaders. I
am an obedient person. I tend to listen and perform acts that are truly relevant as to what
task is being given. I believe that obedience can be associated to respect. Being submissive
to the orders of our superiors can bring out peace and understanding among people; thus
resulting to a better working environment.
