The Practice Teaching Site
Maniki Central Elementary School SPED Center was our Practice
Teaching site and has always been the laboratory site of KCAST’S
EDUCATION PROGRAM. The school is located in Barangay Maniki,
Kapalong, and Davao Del Norte. The school has 1800 students, and 100
teachers. All grade levels have their grade heads, so that, it would be easy for
the Principal to disseminate the information she wants to give, with hustle
free. The school’s Principal is Ana N. Redaniel, Ed. D. The school has a huge
area including the wide meadow, which serves as running/ soccer field for the
pupils and other students who wants to do their thing. The school has all
round facility, such as the E-classroom. It serves the whole students which will
improve the learning distribution and its progress, wherein it develops the
students’ capability of handling systematic process of learning.

The SPED CENTER caters students who have a little difficulty in

learning, such as, deaf and mute, pupils with special needs like, having Down
syndrome and autism. This is really impressive, because, teachers, as well as
the pupils engage themselves, not by gaining, but in helping to share the
world with love and true learning. A world of experience with equal view about
being a part of the whole academe. The multi-purpose gym serves gradual
occasions, such as, general PTA meeting, recognition, graduation rights,
foundation day, and others.

And if we talk about the comfort rooms, well, it is within the class room,
and all you have to do is to ask, even though the school is having the scarcity
for water interruption, due to insufficient water supply, still we are thru about it.
But the pupils may do recognize it, and we have to help.

Every class room is well ventilated, and a good producer of qualitative

learning experience for every learner. The school has also their garden, which
serves as a humble tool for eyes to see that having natures love is more than
enough, flowers with light and lovely colors, which could express someone’s
enormous feelings. It has also a yard for huge trees that, really gives windy,
fresh scent of nature. The garden, which comprises different kinds of
vegetable that is always fresh, that is taking care with the hands of the pupils
who are in grades IV, V, and VI, with the supervision of agro master.

And lastly, the school has probably secured area, wherein, pupils can
do their prior job that is playing. It has as a guard, which finds everything
secured, but not always attentive.

Every single detail was according to my perception, about the school. It

was about what I had found out, and is now the present situation being
handled by the administration. It has nothing to do with any personal attributes
about me, and the school. It is about its humble duty to serve their pupils with
honor, dignity and pride, because, that is the true essence of school.
