Developing Your Intuition Develop Clairvoyance
We have all at one time or another received information that defies logic,
that niggling feeling in your body that is encouraging you into some action
that doesn’t seem to make sense. Everyone is born with intuition. With
some, intuition may be more developed, perhaps because they have been
encouraged as young children to pay attention to their gut feelings.
We receive intuitive feelings in a variety of ways. It could come though the
mind with something specific or as a kind of euphony or an answer to a
complicated issue. These generally come in the form of gut feelings,
hunches, and emotions or in dreams. It can also come through the body.
Your heart may start racing for no reason, your muscles may suddenly
tense or you get ‘butterflies’ in your stomach.
If you have ever thought of a friend or family member you haven’t heard
from in a long time and suddenly they call, you are experiencing what the
psychoanalyst Carl Jung described as synchronicity, or meaningful
coincidence, which is a part of intuition.
In developing intuition, you may want to start by simply asking your body
a question that requires a yes or no answer about a particular issue or a
decision you need to make. Generally a yes answer will be in the form of a
relaxed or comfortable feeling. If the answer is no, your muscles may start
to tense or you get the sense that it’s not a good idea. Of course, as with
anything that is worth doing, it takes time, but be patient. Your intuition
will become a great tool to use whenever you need it.
Pay attention to your breathing when practicing with intuition to keep
other thoughts at bay. Also, pay attention to your body responses when
intuition does break through. Again, it may take some time for you to
distinguish if your body really is responding to some intuitive situation or
some external stimuli. With practice, you will not only be able to detect
intuition, but it will become stronger and find it coming through even in
the noisiest environment.
Another way to develop intuition is to read. Do some research to find out
what you can about intuition. Logic and intuition can work together and
the more knowledge you have about the subject, the more you will
understand what intuition is within you.
Everyone experiences intuition in different ways, but your intuition is
specific to you.
The benefits of intuition are numerous. You will be less stressed, you will
be better able to communicate and will advance your knowledge of
yourself. Intuition combines the mind, body and emotions to give you
answers to questions or a solution to a problem.
