Sap Results

1-Introduction:
In the first phase we analyzed the floor under gravity loads (Its own weight and
live load) using Egyptian code strip method. The second phase will analyze the
floor using finite element models and then compare the different models with the
Egyptian code output.

2-Floor Elements and Loads:

B3=B4=B1=25*70
Flooring=0.2t/m2
Equivalent Wall Load=0.15t/m2
Live Load=0.3t/m2

3-Model (1):
It is the SAP default procedure by making frame element and shell element
C.G to C.L and it is not the exact model it needs modification.

In Y-Direction(M22): Mxy=M12

It is obvious that the output of this model (bending moments in slabs) is lower than
the actual values because of non-taking the frame action between slab and beam as
the rigid connection between them transfer negative moment to the beams in the
same time with decreasing positive moments in slabs.

Model (3):
Use T-Section in the Model Instead of Rectangular section
In this model we use Tf=0.5(Tf from code)
Tf1=8ts+b=8*0.15+.25=1.45m `

Tf2=8ts+b=8*0.15+.12=1.m
Lf=3ts+b=3*0.15+.25=0.7m
