    Project Description:
    In 1-2 paragraphs, describe the nature and scope of your project. What resources
    do you envision needing in order to successfully complete this project?
     Reference the following:
    o Text: How do you see text as a function of your project?
    o Performance: How do you see performance as a function of your
    project?
    o Design: How do you see design as a function of your project?
    o Technology: How do you see technology as a function of your
    project?

    I have written an original song; the lyrics of this song will serve as the foundational
    text. However, for my capstone project I intend to re-record the song in better
    quality and use that song in a short film. I am going to ask a few dramatic media
    majors to participate in contact improve so that I may to film a series of contact
    improve movements complete with original painted backdrops and a lighting of my
    own design. I am going to create a lighting design and shot list these will be further
    use of text in my project. The contact improve portion of my project will function as
    performance, the painted backdrops and lighting design as the design function, and
    the song recording, filming, and editing of the project will function as the technology
    aspect of my project.

    Justification:
    In 1-2 paragraphs, explain why you believe this is an appropriate project for your
    capstone. Discuss the way in which this project would serve as a culmination of your
    studies, and as a significant contribution to the TLU community and Department of
    Dramatic Media.

    I believe this project is an appropriate option for my capstone project because it


    combines the skills I have learned during my time at Texas Lutheran University, it
    will include direction of live performance, cinematography, lighting and scenic design
    as well as blend together one of my fondest hobbies of making music. I believe this
    project will also offer creative opportunities for other members of dramatic media if
    they choose to collaborate and contribute to this project.
