Age: 15- 16

Interaction: T/S- S/T

Anticipated Problems: time management may be failed. Students may have


difficulty to maket he exercises because the exercises may need more attention.

OBJECTİVES:

2) Will have had better understanding for listening text

WARM UP

Time: 5 min

Interaction: T/S- S/T

What students do: The students are asked to get involved in lesson with their
and the teacher’s personal experiences.

Grouping: Whole class

Aims

- To motivate the students to get to the topic


- To get the students to get involved in lesson
- To activate their background information

STEPS

1) The teacher talks about her personal experience


2) The teacher asks questions to the students about their personal
experiences
3) After gathering their opinions the teacher moves into the first listening
section
 WHILE LISTENING

Time: 10 min

Materials: Worksheet

What students do: Students are asked to understand the listening textin detail at
the end of the session.

Grouping: Whole class

 First listening

Aims

- To get the students to understand the the listening passage in general


- To get the students to have the main idea about the text

STEPS

1) The teacher says “I have a listening passage which contains two people
talking”, and wants the students to do the worksheet they are given.
2) The teacher asks questions about the text
3) The teacher says now, let!s listen again and check if their decisions are
true.
 Second Listening

Aims

- To get the students to have more specific information about the text
- To get them to undestand the text in detail

STEPS

1) Before listening to the text again, the students are asked a question about
the text.
2) After their answers, the teacher says “now you will listen to the text again
and fill in the chart on the worksheet.
3) The teacher checks their answers and corrects if there is a mistake
POST LISTENING

Time: 5 min

Interaction: T/S- S/S

What students do: The students are wanted to work in pairs

Aims: To improve their speaking skills with the help of creativity

STEPS

1) The teacher says now work in pairs. One of you will have problem about
timing and the other will be working at a time management course. One
will say his/her problem and the other will find solution. “
2) After giving four minutes for the first listening step the teacher wants the
students on the board and talk about what they have prepared .
