SUMMARY
Engineering Department provides technical and engineering support to all other departments and projects.
The main purpose of this centralized department is to ensure smooth running of operations in order to
maintain an overall efficient work flow in the company.
Health, Safety & Environment is a sub function of Engineering which protects the health and safety of
fellow employees, operates in an environmentally and socially responsible manner while also committing
to continuous improvement.

FUNCTIONS OF DEPARTMENT – Engineering


Emergency
Handling  Provide emergency handling in case of power failure, machine failure, and
breakdown.
 Revalidate the manufacturing process in case of a power failure during
production.
Maintenance  Ensure smooth running and timely maintenance of all machinery
 Ensure correct usage, cleaning and scheduling of all machinery on a
daily basis.
 Ensure the three types of machine maintenance:
-Preventive Maintenance: to reduce any unforeseen occurrences
-Corrective Maintenance: in case of emergency or breakdowns
-On-Job Maintenance: resolve minor issues on the job
Utilities
 Provide utilities like gas, water and electricity to all other departments
 Ensure conditions of all physical assets like machineries and equipment
are accurate
 Responsible for wastewater reclamation facilities, repair or
replacement of facilities
 Ensure smooth running of equipment, working chillers, availability of
water in all taps, and temperature control as per product requirement.
Projects  Develop feasibility reports including but not limited to ROI calculation, total
cost, future profit, documentations, proposals and evaluation for any new
projects
 Responsible for procuring and installing any new machinery
 Provide training for new machine operation to all relevant personnel
Documentation  Ensure proper document preparation and maintenance for all product batches
 Maintain job cards for the three types of maintenance

FUNCTIONS OF DEPARTMENT- HSE

Safety Management  Promote and maintain the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-
being of workers
 Prevent ill-health among workers caused by their working conditions
 Protect workers from factors adverse to their health in their employment, and

physiological and psychological conditions

Contingency  Formulate an on-site "Emergency Management Plan" detailing action to be
