Closing the Divide
Emerging Technologies
We are in the Information Age, also known as the New Media Age, where information
technology has become the base of the global economy. People everywhere should be
immersed in the world of technology, but sadly that is not the case. What ever the
obstructions may be, there are entire civilizations suffering from the lack thereof.
Bridging the Gap
Emerging Technologies
Intro
There is a plethora of technologies that are being developed for the
sole purpose of making life easier for all humans. These technologies
include Artificial Intelligence, 5G mobile networks, robotics and many
more.
Harnessing the Power of 5G
As the wireless industry works hard to improve mobile access to the
Internet on a global scale, it has been progressively developing the
5G network. The initial appeal to the 5G network is its bandwidth,
which means increased speed to do all the things one needs or loves
to do on the Internet. But other benefits that come from 5G are: low
latency issues, improved haptic feedback, and networks that virtually
are instantly responsive to one another. These advantages allow for
further technological advancements with other technologies as well.
But as these advancements are made it is important for not just those
in the mobile industry but other industries to take the steps to make
these technologies available for all of civilization.
The Applications of A.I.
Artificial Intelligence has been a major topic of discussion since the
1940’s. As the years have passed, many achievements have been
made to make it a reality rather than a discussion. With the
opportunities that AI presents to the world, many nations can use it to
improve who many learn, or live. AI can be applied to robotics or
smart machines (smart cars), virtual or augmented reality. Those
applications can help with healthcare, finances, travel, securities,
and many other aspects of life. Again, as these costly advances are
being made, steps need to be taken to create cost effective variants
of these technologies that allow less fortunate counties to take
advantage of them too.
