Introduction
Most schools in Sultan Kudarat especially from far-flung areas are having issues
with figuring out how to motivate young learners to learn English. Thus, this study
sought to investigate the learning environment provided by the Montessori Learning
Center of Isulan, Inc. that is evidently effective in improving its learners in speaking
fluency in English

Assumption
Hypothesis
In general, the focus of this study is directed towards the practices and
environment in MLCI. About small to medium sized Montessori pupils selected through
criterion method from August 14-15, 2019. The study is largely dependent on the
recorded interview which shall evaluate the Pronunciation, vocabulary, accuracy,
interaction and communication of the respondents.
G. Limitations
Due to the fact that young learners easily get irritated and impatient once
involved in this kind of activity, only small population will be gathered. There would also
be minimal number of hours since this will be conducted during class time to avoid class
disturbance.
Parents- in order for the parents to get ideas on what interaction they
should employ for them to help their children attain fluency in speaking English.
I. Definition of Terms
English Speaking fluency- The ability of being proficient in speaking using English
as medium of communication.
Accuracy- learners’ accuracy in grammar and the content of their answer with
response to the given question.
Interaction- how the learners interact during interview either they show aloofness or
confidence.
Communication- how they communicated their answers either they use hand
gestures or did they stutter or stumble when speaking.

METHODOLOGY
A. Research Question

This qualitative research will use Case study approach to study the case of
phenomenon using multiple data sources and explore it by studying both Montessori
pupils and teachers in their learning environment.
Essence: To give some other schools in Sultan Kudarat ideas on how to attain effective
learning environment for English speaking fluency by the gathering practices applied by
Montessori Learning Center of Isulan, Inc.
Participants
The participants of this study are Montessori Pupils who are noticeably fluent in
speaking English.
Researcher
The researcher once taught in Montessori Learning Center of Isulan, Inc. for one
year.
The researcher learned that most of the pupils in the school are very fluent in
terms of speaking in English.
Audience
The beneficiaries of this study are the schools in Sultan Kudarat to get ideas on
how to attain the same practice with Montessori Isulan to improve their learners’
English speaking fluency.
E. Procedure
The study will be conducted on August 14, 2019 at the second week of the month.
AVR room will be occupied to facilitate the 20 respondents per hour within the three
hour-span simultaneously which beforehand, a letter of permission will be issued to the
school authorities.
On August 15, the researcher will conduct one on one interview with pupils to
attest their speaking fluency. Their answers would be documented confidentially and
must be with consent of the parents and the school.
The collected data will be in the form of audio wherein, learners’ one on one
interview will be recorded as basis for data analysis.
