SUBJECT: Change of Plunger in PS Pump
1. Purpose
The material of plunger which is a consisting part of plunger block assembly in PS pump is changed for standardization
to improve the productivity. Accordingly, the plunger block assembly and plunger assembly are changed. The PS pump
assembly is not changed due to this change.

Note: 1. The engine model in Remarks on page 1/3 and 2/3 shows the representative model and spec example.
Confirm the plunger and barrel combination ID, and request the service part when replacing the part.
2. See Combination ID Table on page 3/3.
3. The special tool, Plunger Holder (48291-00301), which is necessary to install such parts as plunger spring,
is not attached to the service part of Ref. No. 18 - 34 PLUNGER ASSY.
4. The special tool, Plunger Holder (48291-00301), is attached to the service part of Ref. No. 1 - 17
PLUNGER BLOCK ASSY.
5. The replacement as an assembly of Ref. No. 1 - 17 PLUNGER BLOCK ASSY is recommended to avoid
assembling error of plunger and barrel. Also, the special tool above is additionally required to install the plunger
spring, lower seat and other parts for the service part of PLUNGER ASSY.

2. The part with （＊） mark is strongly recommended to replace as PLUNGER BLOCK ASSY to prevent the parts
from assembling error.
3. "For R/L Bank" means the R or L bank in V-type engine.
