SATORP is building a world-class refinery scheduled to start operation in 2013.The environmentally
friendly Jubail Refinery will produce a high proportion of white products such as diesel, gasoline, LPG,
petrochemicals, and jet fuels from heavy crude oil. This full-conversion refinery will have a processing
capacity of 400,000 barrels per stream day of Arabian heavy crude oil. It will maximize production of diesel
and jet fuels, and will also produce 700,000 tons per year (t/y) of paraxylene, 140,000 t/y of benzene and
200,000 t/y of polymer-grade propylene. The refinery will be one of the most complex refineries in the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
AS A PLANNING ENGINEER:
 Planning & Scheduling, Progress monitoring & reporting of level 4 Work Schedule in Primavera (P3) / M S
Project, preparation of S Curves, distribution of weightage etc.
 Planning time & resources, updating actual progress, analyzing variance.
 Identify critical activities and reporting to Project Manager to take necessary measures to ensure timely
completion of the project.
 Co-ordinate with all department managers and consolidate the weekly / monthly reports for higher

Recording, trending, forecasting quantity measurement, invoice certification, and other associated cost
control activities.
 Pre-qualifying bidders for contract packages.
 Preparing bid inquiries, negotiating and advising on the award of contracts and administering change
orders.
 Attending pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates.
 Incorporating relevant historical cost and manpower data into units and manpower figures.
