Bistek Tagalog (beefsteak) Recipe

Serves: 4

Ingredients
1 lb. beef sirloin, thinly sliced
cup soy sauce
1 piece lemon or 3 pieces calamansi
tsp ground black pepper
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 large onion, sliced into rings
3 tbsp cooking oil
salt to taste

Instructions
1. Marinate beef in soy sauce, lemon (or calamansi), and ground black pepper for at least 1 hour
2. Heat the cooking oil in a pan then stir fry the onion rings until the texture becomes soft. Set aside
3. In the same pan where the onions were fried, fry the marinated beef (without the marinade) until
color turns brown. Set aside
4. Put-in the garlic then saute for a few minutes
5. Pour the marinade and bring to a boil.
6. Put in the fried beef and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is tender. Add water as needed.
7. Add the stir-fried onions and some salt to taste.
8. Serve hot. Share and Enjoy!

Quick and Easy Beef and Pepper Stir Fry

Serves: 4

Ingredients
1 lb. beef sirloin, sliced thinly
cup chopped red bell pepper
cup chopped yellow bell pepper
cup chopped green bell pepper
1 small yellow onion, sliced
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
cup oyster sauce
3 tablespoons cornstarch
teaspoon ground black pepper
teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions
1. In large bowl, combine beef, soy sauce oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Let is stand for 10
minutes.
2. Add the cornstarch. Continue to mix until all the ingredients are well blended. Set aside.
3. Meanwhile, heat a pan. Spray or pour cooking oil. Once the oil becomes hot, add the onion and
peppers. Stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Transfer the cooked onion and peppers on a plate. Set aside.
5. Add oil to the same pan. Put-in the beef. Stir fry until the beef turns medium brown (around 7 to 8
minutes). Make sure that you are cooking in very high heat. Add more cooking time if needed.
6. Add the cooked onion and peppers. Continue to stir fry for 1 minute.
7. Transfer to a serving plate.
8. Serve with rice. Share and enjoy!

Papis Recipe
Ingredients

o 2 lbs. beef sirloin, cubed


o 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
o 1 medium yellow onion, diced
o 3 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
o 2 cups beef stock
o Salt and pepper to taste
o 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Cooking Procedure

1. Heat the cooking oil in a deep cooking pot or Dutch oven.


2. Saute the garlic and onion.
3. When the onion becomes soft, add the cubed beef.
4. Brown the beef and then pour-in the beef broth or beef stock. Let it boil. Cover and
simmer for 45 to 60 minutes. Add water, if needed.
5. Put-in the pork and beans. Stir and cook in medium heat for 5 minutes.
6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
7. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve.
8. Share and enjoy!
