Codex of Dositheos

In the present paper I attempted to present the ‘Codex of Dositheos’ in the framework of the contents of diocesan codices and their importance as documents of religious, cultural, social, economic, educational, administrational and juridical history, in general, and in particular, to provide a hint of its specific values in a local context and beyond, bringing forward two case studies: the first related to the involvement of laymen in local Church politics, and the second associated with the instances of divorce at the level of the ecclesiastical province and centre.
