Rosicrucian Secrets Unveiled

This document contains excerpts from the foreword and two prefaces of "The Rosicrucian Key of True Wisdom". The foreword describes finding an ancient manuscript in Venice that details the secrets of higher chemistry in the form of a conversation between experienced alchemists. The manuscript is entitled "Key of True Wisdom" and contains symbols and drawings related to alchemy. The first preface states that without the proper keys, one cannot unlock knowledge, and the wisdom does not reveal itself to the unworthy. The second preface discusses the "3 Wonder-Stones" that are found worldwide and contain a volatile spirit and corrosive properties that can transform other metals into an oil or philosophers stone. However, the

The Rosicrucian Key of True Wisdom: Excerpt from the Foreword and Two Prefaces, Translated by Radiant Ra

Foreword My concern is this: Coincidentally about 40 years ago during my travels I bought in Venice an ancient manuscript that specially deals with your highly commendable and worthy Order, in which all the hidden secrets of the higher chemistry, are discovered with all possible steps as clear as day, and described in detail. This manuscript is entitled Key of True Wisdom: Under the heading of a conversation of well-experienced Sophists, coming very close to the truth; with the wisdom which discovers any errors, by the F.R.C. (To be used only in front of the Children of the lilies and roses, but to hide from the wicked). Furthermore, on the cover are drawn on the left and right two outstretched snakes with tails wrapped around one another. Under these snakes is drawn a circle, or ring, made of figured parts placed together the same as stones, in which are found a square, two triangles, two winged-serpents looped into each other, the 4 elements, and the 3 principles; following which, are two prefaces. Here is the First Preface: Dear brother and friend. What is the use of a lock that you have no true keys to in hand? Either the same must be opened with a strange key, or dashed to pieces by force. So also, one may encounter many a laboratory technician and sophist who has the good Subjectum in hand, from which they well might do something, but because they put contrary things together or even burn them, the primum Ens cannot come to light. Because the heat has to allow a view of the core to show, rather than the mass, for it to emerge rightly after its slaying and rebirth (like with like); and such remains hidden from all the

worlds children. For the wisdom does not reveal itself to the unworthy und unregenerate. Solely with this manipulation or Key of True Wisdom can one even align or orient his Work towards something fruitful. Many a man has a true Subjectum in hand, also well sees what lies hidden in the same; but because the Lord holds his hand over it, it is hidden from him and many thousands. All of this is so that his soul, dear brother, would indeed not be subjected to the eternal spell. The Second Preface follows this: From the golden conception of the Gold and Rosy Cross, as an opened hand with its three Wonder-Stones: Here commences the opened hand with 3 Wonder-Stones, which God has freely given; they are often found in all parts of the world, and the poor can get these as well as the rich: yea, the greatest mystery is hidden in them, and especially how in a short time you can prepare from them the way to the Wise Masters Stone. Hidden in them is the blessed Oil of the Wise as a volatile spirit, which makes all other metals with it into an oil. It is volatile, and its corrosive spirit deadens all, and crushes every raw body; and pursued again in a little further distillation, it is as volatile as a bird, and leaves the body lying in its own blood. Then if the oil is poured on it, it takes its equal into itself, and leads the whole Anima about with it. And those 3 Stones which the wise Creator has freely given us are these: 1) - - - 2) - - - and 3) - - - [Translators Note: most likely Sulphur, Mercury and Sal]. These are also the 3 Stones which God revealed to his Children, yet all is lost if the same fall from time to time into wicked hands; for Nature does not let its treasures be stolen from it by such raptors. So how to handle or process these 3 Stones, and how to make from them the true Oil-metal, and simultaneously (or at the same time) the Stone of the great Masters, all these things will be required of us as a Memorial, in addition to its corresponding Key, which riseth or goeth forth from the - - and - - [Translators Note: most likely, the fire and light].
