Papad is a traditional food item of India, and it is very familiar product to all of us. Papad is usually consumed with meal as a side-dish. They have the appearance of thin wafers. Many people consume it daily while many enjoy it on various occasions like parties, marriages, festivals. Papad has unique importance in India hospitality. In Sindhi community Papad & Pani is served as 1st welcome food. In Guajarati community, papad is served in a meal to the guest.

Basically papads are also used in large quantity in hotels, dhabas, marriage function and in all other functions in India. Especially manufacturer employs women to prepare the papad. So, majority of women are getting employed through this papad manufacturing. Lijjat papad and Ganesh papad are the major contributed company in giving employment to women.
