ADJECTIVES

A word that names a quality . It is added to a noun to describe it.

Explanation

An adjective commonly stands before the noun or pronoun it qualifies, but it may also
occur as a complement to a verb of being.

An adjective that is separated from its noun by a verb, and thus forms part of the
predicate, is called a predicate adjective. The predicate adjective are separated from
their nouns by verbs of being, “ is “, “ was “.
