Emerging Irish Indie rock `n' roll band The Savage Hearts have released their third single, Silver Locket. We asked Evan Walsh of the band the BIG questions . . .
Formed by former The Strypes member Evan in 2022, The Savage Hearts have played at Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions, Kaleidoscope and Cavan Arts Festival and supported The Boomtown Rats and The Undertones.

Now swapping his drums for bass guitar and vocals duties, Evan has teamed up with friends and collaborators Darragh Muldoon (lead guitar/lead vocals) Eugenio Collinassi (tenor saxophone) Luke Cassidy (drums) and occasional collaborators Becky Walsh (vocals) and Terry Brady (harmonica/keyboards).
The band released its debut single, Gang War, last February, followed up by Speeding Bullets in July on Galway-based indie label Blowtorch Records.
Speaking about Silver Locket, Evan says, "It’s definitely my favourite track of ours that we’ve released as a single so far - we’ve tried to have a bit of an upward trajectory with everything the band puts out that things get slightly more intricate musically and hopefully show a bit of development in influences and ideas even from single to single."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
We’re a garage/psych/rock 'n’ roll band from the Cavan/Monaghan/Meath part of the world. We’ve been gigging extensively over the past 18 months with both our own shows and supporting the likes of The Boomtown Rats and The Undertones. Our third single Silver Locket is out on digital release 14th November!!
