When it comes to popular culture, pretty much no other family defines this time or divides opinion like the Kardashians.

To some they are admired as a dynasty of powerful women, inspiring girls across the planet.

To others they are untalented and morally bankrupt reality stars, who are damaging women by selling their life as a superficial fairytale.

Paul Thomas Anderson's romantic comedy, starring Alana Haim, Cooper Hoffman, Sean Penn, Tom Waits and Bradley Cooper, is well worth recording for future consideration.

I could probably think of at least a thousand worse ways of bringing the weekend to a close. It's just that it's over rather late.
