FILM
Brazil (1985) and The Colour of Pomegranates (1969) are two films I've recently revisited. Both have this surreal, almost dream-like quality and rely heavily on incredible visual storytelling, which is captivating! Brazil brilliantly blends dark humor with dystopian imagery to skewer bureaucracy, while The Colour of Pomegranates is more of a poetic, symbolic dive into memory and culture. They're both visually stunning and thought-provoking in such unique ways.

I'm currently immersed in an intense editing phase for my upcoming shows and really enjoying the Modular Meditations by Wac-Lounge. Super relaxing.

BOOK
I've been diving into the Cyberfeminism Index, by Mindy Seu, it’s a compelling exploration of how hackers, scholars, artists, and activists reimagine identity through technology. This collection features over 700 entries on radical techno-critical activism, celebrating, troubling, and critiquing the histories and futures of the struggle against networked patriarchy. It shifts the focus to how the internet is fundamentally shaped by its users, while also bringing to light the often-overlooked origins and rich legacy of cyberfeminism.

I recently experienced the Royal Ballet celebrating the incredible choreographer Kenneth MacMillan's one-act ballets, Danses Concertantes, Different Drummer and Requiem. It was unbelievable. Must see.

I'm not really into TV, but I absolutely love the classic Japanese game show Gaki no Tsukai: Batsu Games. They're always so outlandish and absurd, I love it.

I just saw lolo sasaku at Mahalla Berlin—absolutely incredible! This Argentine-Japanese avant-garde artist duo creates immersive experiences that beautifully incorporate music and sound. They have an upcoming show in Valencia—definitely check it out. I'm also looking forward to catching Evicshen live at The Sugar Club, presented by Foggy Notions. Shen explores the spatiality and physicality of sound in relation to the human body, using self-built electronics.

THE NEXT BIG THING...
Kim Hankyul! I'm really excited about his work which explores themes such as hysteria, ailment, and counterlanguages. He invites viewers to engage with the physical movements of his sculptures, which generate unique soundscapes and challenge traditional ways of understanding and communicating.
