Carolyn J. Studer, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

Carolyn was born in Crestline, Ohio on August 4, 1932 to John and Sylvesta Brown Poffenbaugh. She attended Tiro High School. She grew up on a farm with her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, ceramics, crocheting, and sewing. Carolyn had strong family values. Her favorite thing of all, was doing whatever she could to help and care for others.

Carolyn and her husband spent many years wintering in Florida. They were members of St. Peter’s Parish in Mansfield, where they sang in the church choir. They also enjoyed traveling together and working on craft projects.

Carolyn is remembered by her 3 daughters, Renee (David) Hicks, Cindy Studer, and Jeannine (Ted) Zimmerman; 4 grandchildren, Craig (Jen) Hicks, Kelly (Brian) Bednarz, Sienna Zimmerman, and Kara Zimmerman; 2 great-grandchildren, Alex Heichel and Adriana Hicks; 1 great-great-grandson, Cole McNabb. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin A. Studer who she would have been married to for 74 years; and 7 siblings.

Family and friends may visit from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 104. W. First St. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Parish.
