Israeli casualties in Gaza

The Gaza resistance continues to inflict heavy casualties on Israeli troops over a year into the savage genocide in the strip. At least seven Zionist troops were killed on Saturday. Reports say five soldiers were killed in an ambush in Beit Hanoun in north Gaza. That happened when resistance fighters targeted an Israeli military vehicle with an anti-armor shell, gunfire, and explosive devices. In another incident, a tunnel opening was detonated in the southern city of Rafah, killing two soldiers. According to Israeli reports, over 30 were wounded, with 11 being critically injured. Israeli media have described Saturday as “one of the bloodiest days” for the Israeli army in the Strip in months. The Israeli army says at least 400 soldiers and officers have been killed in Gaza since the beginning of the ground invasion of Gaza.

Yemen retaliation

The Yemeni army has announced a fresh operation targeting the American aircraft carrier Harry Truman, forcing it to flee to the far north of the Red Sea. Yemeni army spokesman Yahya Saree said that they targeted the American carrier and several of its warships with cruise missiles and drones. The statement said the engagement with the carrier and other warships lasted for nine hours. This is the fifth time the Yemeni army has attacked the warship since its arrival in the Red Sea. The statement said the operation was in response to massacres against Gazans and Israeli-American-British aggression against Yemen. Saree vowed they are ready to keep up confronting the American and Israeli attacks, and that they won’t stop anti-Israel operations until the Gaza genocide stops.

California wildfires

The ongoing California wildfires have scorched another 1,000 acres of the state overnight, with local authorities expecting the worsening of weather in the next 72 hours. Thousands have lost their homes as a public health emergency was declared due to heavy smoke blanketing the area. Some 12,000 buildings have also been destroyed, leaving entire neighborhoods reduced to ash. Meanwhile, evacuation orders across the Los Angeles area now cover over 153,000 residents, putting 57,000 structures at risk. Firefighters are struggling to contain multiple blazes amid strong winds and dry conditions. This comes as earlier, the sheriff of Los Angeles, Robert Luna, reported that the death toll has risen to 11 and that more fatalities are anticipated as search efforts continue in the devastation.
