Israeli forces have injured several Palestinians and detained dozens more in different raids across the occupied West Bank.
The occupation forces launched a large-scale arrest campaign in the Fawwar refugee camp, south of the city of al-Khalil on Monday, during which four people were detained and nearly 100 others held at the youth club of the camp that was turned into a field investigation center, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.
Posting pictures of the campaign, the Shehab news agency reported that the Israeli troops had “abused dozens of detainees” during their raid.
The Israeli forces also closed all entrances and exits of the camp and prohibited movement inside.
It was the third raid on the camp within 24 hours.
Also in al-Khalil, clashes took place between Palestinians and Israeli forces during the demolition of a building in Shuyukh al-Arrub village, northeast of al-Khalil, according to Al Jazeera news network.
“The occupation forces demolished the house that shelters seven people on the pretext that the al-Bas area is prohibited for construction,” said Ibrahim Halaika, the head of the village council.
Clashes also took place during a raid by Israeli forces on the town of Sa’ir, 5km southeast of Shuyukh al-Arrub, on Monday.
Israeli forces launched another large-scale arrest campaign in the town of Tuqu, east of Bethlehem, abducting at least 25 Palestinians.
Also on Monday, a young man was detained in Birzeit, north of Ramallah, after Israeli forces ransacked his home. Two brothers were also detained when the troops raided Qalqilya City.
Another Palestinian was also detained in a raid on the village of Kafr Qallil, south of Nablus, where several homes were ransacked.
In a raid on the Qalandiya camp, north of al-Quds, Israeli gunfire left three Palestinians injured.
Israel has ramped up violence against Palestinians in the West Bank since it launched the genocidal war in Gaza, killing hundreds of Palestinians and abducting thousands others.
Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.
The regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed at least 45,259 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 107,627 others. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under rubble.
