Wakpala has big fourth quarter to defeat Wolverines

Wakpala shot past Herreid Selby Area 61-47 in Herreid on Thursday.

HSA led all the way and had a 37-33 edge after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Wakpala’s Lane Cadotte erupted for 14 points and the Sioux outscored the Wolverines 28-10 over the last eight minutes.

Cadotte hit seven three-pointers and scored a game-high 30 points. He hit three three-pointers during his fourth-quarter scoring spree. Zach Moran followed with 11 points, scoring six points in the fourth quarter. Keenan Finley scored six of his seven points in the last period.

Wayde Grage led the Wolverines with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Trevor Gill followed with 17 points. Mason Vetter scored six points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished four assists.
