MOUNT PLEASANT — Highway 41 reopened after a collision had caused a portion of the road to close during the evening rush hour, according to police.

According to a 4 p.m. release Nov. 15 from police spokesperson Sgt. Ashley Croy, a collision occurred on the roadway in which the vehicles involved were unable to move. Details about the crash were not provided.

In an update at 4:39 p.m., Croy said that the roadway had been reopened.

Highway 41 was closed between Joe Rouse Road and Dunes West Boulevard, Croy said, and officers were diverting traffic in the area.
