Following the installation of new seats last month, the Poncan Theatre has resumed activities with shows and movie screenings.

The Poncan has two performances coming up soon.

The first is on Friday, Sept. 16 with poet Tanner Olsen and singer-songwriter Blake Flattley from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. This is a free event.

Tanner Olson is an author, poet, and speaker living in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife, Sarah, and dog, Pancake. For the last decade, Tanner has been writing and speaking about hope, faith, and love to audiences online and across the US.

Singer-songwriter Blake Flattley writes to bring hope in the darkness, to tell the story of the human struggle, and narrates a story where death doesn’t have the last word.

Blake has toured nationally, playing renowned venues such as the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, Los Angeles’ Hotel Cafe, and New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall, sharing the stage with acts like Young the Giant, Sharon von Etten, Flame, Loso and Andy Gullahorn.

The second event will be on Monday, Sept. 19 with the quintet “Seraph Brass” who will be on stage at 7:30 pm as a part of the Ponca City Concert Series. The Concert Series is a separate organization from the Poncan Theatre.
