Plex offers the following accessibility features to allow all users to access our pages and streaming content.
Audio Description (also known as descriptive audio tracks or streams) is an optional narration that describes what is happening on screen. This can include describing physical actions being performed, facial expressions of actors, changes of scenes, and more.
For content available on our free Movies & Shows streaming, Plex actively works with partners to make audio descriptions available for content wherever available.
Devices currently supported:
You may use many screen readers with Plex to search for and access shows and movies.
Please report screen reader access issues to [email protected].
For content available on our free Movies & Shows streaming, Plex provides captions and/or subtitles in English and other languages when provided by our content partners.
When viewing closed captions or subtitles within our player apps, the font size can be typically adjusted either within the player app settings or within the system settings (commonly “Accessibility” or “Caption” settings) of the device itself.
We aim to make the Plex website accessible and to continually improve the accessibility of the site. We look to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Levels A and AA, in the design of the Plex website.
