HURLEY — Vermillion built a 20-9 lead after one quarter on the way to a 65-45 victory over Pine Ridge in boys’ action at the Midwest Miracles Classic basketball event, Saturday in Hurley.

Landon Cerny finished with 19 points and eight rebounds for Vermillion. Trey Hansen post-ed 16 points, three assists and four steals. Luke Jensen scored 15 points, Carter Hansen had four assists and four blocked shots, and Spencer Blachette had five assists in the victory.
