The trickle of information we get throughout the offseason can sometimes be maddening. For instance, yesterday’s big ticket news was that the Blue Jays are seen as serious competitors for Juan Soto this offseason, a story that seems to have some steam from how many insiders have pointed to them being heavily in the running. They were spurned by Shohei Ohtani last year, but will they get a taker for the $700 million or so burning a hole in their pockets this time around? Hopefully not, for the Yankees’ sake.

Speaking of Juan Soto, Jeff has the honor of putting forward his free agent target post today. Estevão joins him for a more economical target in Jorge Polanco as an infield buy-low candidate. Then, Jake covers the report card for Jonathan Loáisiga, who unfortunately did not get to appear in many games this year. Later in the day, be on the lookout for news dropping on the Silver Slugger winners for this year.

Questions/Prompts:

1. Who will end up higher on the AL Rookie of the Year ballot, Luis Gil or Austin Wells?

2. If we haven’t already seen it, what do you think will be Aaron Boone’s shakeup for his coaching staff?
