Damn good. All day.

Permit Room Cambridge

Arched into the cobbled lane of Trinity Street

Shuffle through our mustard yellow door any time of day. Start with chai and a Bacon Naan Roll – end with cocktails. Pick on Peanut Masala, moreish curries and mouth-dripping plates for sharing (the Prawn Recheado, a Goan go-to). Delicious sips of the Orange Wine Margarita slip down nicely (sober-sipping teetotals, too). Familiar faces crowd tables with much chit-chat and much revelry. Cold, craveable local beers and DJs ’til late.

Come for a good time and a long time. Open to all.

Expect Crispy snacks, nice chaats, rich curries and Dishoom faves

Kick-start the day with Breakfast Naan Rolls and piping-hot Chai

Punches, palomas and shimmys, oh my!

Where there’s music, there’s revelry.

We turn the volume up at Permit Room, taking cues from Slip-Disc jam sessions and Rang Bhavan in ’70s Bombay. Stick a song on the jukebox.
An eclectic mix of beats. Stomp feet to hip-hop and punk, soul and Bollywood funk.

Every Thursday, resident DJs spin vinyl. Sip strong cocktails to punchy beats. Stay late, open to all.

Food & Drink

Sip rich coffee by our friends at Wood St Coffee Roasters. After lunch, a Mango Lassi Soft Serve is a cooling, want-another treat (nibble the candied fennel). Bar snacks and savouries satisfy the evening cravings – we have a beer for that: the Permit Room X Wylde Sky Golden Guava. Juiced up, ready to pour, made just for us.

Bookings

Secure a table for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails! If the time you want isn’t available, simply swing by and walk-in (we hold lots of tables for walk-ins, and we’ll get you seated quickly). After the kitchen has closed, come for a late-night drink and snack. If you’re with a big party, it’s best to book in advance (you might be spread across some close-together tables). Any questions – chat with us.
