BOYS

CHARLESTON 58, BOONEVILLE 44

Maddix Terry recorded an impressive double-double and led Charleston to a 3A-4 Conference victory over Booneville.

The Tigers outscored the Bobcats 16-5 in the third quarter and turned a two-point halftime lead into a 39-26 cushion to start the fourth quarter.

Terry finished with 43 points and 12 rebounds for Charleston.

ELKINS 71, HAAS HALL-FAYETTEVILLE 40

Elkins jumped out to an early 27-7 lead and cruised a 3A-1 Conference victory over Haas Hall-Fayetteville.

Bryce Mooneyham and Ethan Criss each had 10 points for the Elks (16-3, 2-1), who led 47-11 at halftime and 63-24 after three quarters.

River Rains had 18 points and Matthew White 11 for Haas-Hall Fayetteville (5-12, 0-3).

GRAVETTE 53, BERRYVILLE 46

Jaxon Hand scored 16 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter and helped Gravette hold off Berryville for a 4A-1 Conference victory in Bobcat Arena.

The Lions outscored the Bobcats 18-6 in the second quarter and turned an early nine-point deficit into a 23-20 halftime lead. Gravette led 35-32 after three quarters, then hit 10 of 12 free throws over the final 8 minutes to preserve the win.

Hand was the only Lion in double figures as he hit six three-pointers and went 8 for 8 from the free-throw line. Peyton Smith led Berryville with 21 points, followed by Carson McMellon with 17.

HARRISON 64, MOUNTAIN HOME 62

Hayden Martin's bucket with 2.2 seconds remaining gave Harrison a victory over Mountain Home in the 5A-West Conference opener for both teams at Mountain Home.

Jackson Criner tied the game at 62 on a bucket inside with 48 seconds remaining, then the Goblins (14-4, 1-0) came up with a steal with 10 seconds left to deny the Bombers (10-7, 0-1) another chance at the lead. Mountain Home fouled near midcourt with 5.2 seconds left, but Criner inbounded the ball to Cole Cecil, who threw the ball inside to Martin for the winning shot.

Harrison then preserved the win following a Mountain Home timeout by deflecting the inbounds pass and causing the clock to expire.

Martin finished with 17 points to lead four Goblins in double figures, followed by Cecil with 16, Ryder Scribner with 15 and Criner with 10.

HUNTSVILLE 75, GENTRY 54

Huntsville outscored Gentry 27-15 in the third quarter and pulled away from the Pioneers for a 4A-1 Conference home victory.

The Eagles led 19-11 after one quarter and 37-29 at halftime before the outburst allowed them to take a 64-44 cushion into the fourth quarter.

Caden Smith had 19 points to lead Huntsville, followed by Taten Scates with 17 and Rowdy Thomas with 16.

KINGSTON 66, LEAD HILL 64

Kingston controlled the first three quarters of play, then held off Lead Hill to claim a 1A-1 Conference victory at Kingston.

The Yellowjackets had an early one-point advantage and extended it to 36-30 at halftime and 53-42 after three quarters before the Tigers made a comeback attempt.

Kaden Baker had 19 points to lead Lead Hill, while Noah Royce added 14 and Coda Lemon finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

PEA RIDGE 71, GREEN FOREST 46

Pea Ridge outscored Green Forest 40-20 in the second half and went on to defeat the Tigers during 4A-1 Conference action at Green Forest.

The Blackhawks broke a 14-14 deadlock to take a 32-26 halftime lead, then outscored the Tigers 27-15 in the third quarter and extended their lead to a 59-41 margin.

Josh Thaxton had 11 points and Clayton Boyd 10 for Pea Ridge, which had 10 players score at least two points. Zak Watson led Green Forest with 15, followed by Collin Atchinson with 12 on four three-pointers.

SHILOH CHRISTIAN 59, PRAIRIE GROVE 45

Duke Bowman had 28 points to lead Shiloh Christian to a 4A-1 Conference victory over Prairie Grove.

The Saints took a 15-6 lead after one quarter and outscored the Tigers 17-8 in the second quarter for a 32-14 halftime cushion. Shiloh then led 44-30 to start the fourth.

Silas Nantze added 18 points for the Saints.

GIRLS

BERRYVILLE 55, GRAVETTE 34

Berryville held Gravette scoreless in the second quarter and went on to defeat the Lady Lions during 4A-1 Conference action in Bobcat Arena.

The Lady Bobcats already had an early 21-10 lead, then owned a 25-10 halftime cushion. Berryville then led 39-24 after three quarters before outscoring Gravette 16-10 over the final 8 minutes.

Kaylyn Smith and Taelor Tomlinson led the Lady Bobcats with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Meara Russell had nine points for Gravette.

HUNTSVILLE 50, GENTRY 42

Julie Emitt scored 16 points to lead Huntsville to a 4A-1 Conference win at home over Gentry.

The Lady Eagles (13-4, 2-1) held a slim 8-6 lead after one quarter and a 23-21 halftime advantage before extending it to a 40-34 margin after three quarters.

Maggie Richie added 14 points for Huntsville, while Rylee Nichols was the only Gentry player in double figures with 21 points.

LAMAR 61, CEDARVILLE 33

Lamar bolted to an early 19-8 lead and rolled to a 3A-4 Conference win over Cedarville.

The Lady Warriors (14-2, 3-0) went on to take a 34-16 halftime lead and enjoyed a 56-21 cushion after three quarters.

Madison Davidson had 19 points and was the only player in double figures for Lamar.

LIFE WAY CHRISTIAN 58, ALPENA 51

Alaina Owenby had 20 points to lead Life Way to a 2A-1 Conference victory at home over Alpena.

The Lady Warriors led 11-5 after a quarter and 26-16 at halftime, but the Lady Leopards pulled within 36-31 before the third quarter ended.

Maddie Schrag added 12 points for Life Way, while Candice Moore led Alpena with 21.

LINCOLN 60, PROVIDENCE ACADEMY 22

Lincoln outscored Providence 20-5 in the second quarter and rolled to a 3A-1 Conference victory at home.

Hannah Remington had 15 points to lead a trio of players in double figures for the Lady Wolves, who used the outburst to turn a two-point lead into a 30-13 halftime cushion. Lincoln went on to extend its lead to a 50-17 margin to start the fourth quarter.

Lena Skogen added 13 points and Lauren Remington 12 for the Lady Wolves, while Hadley Williams led Providence with 8.

MAGAZINE 64, OARK 27

Jailyn Sims had 17 points to lead four Magazine players in double figures as the Lady Rattlers defeated Oark in a 1A-4 Conference game.

Magazine (10-8, 2-2) led 21-9 after one quarter and 30-15 at halftime before outscored Oark 22-8 in the third quarter and put the game away.

Gracee Franklin added 15 points for the Lady Rattlers, followed Cecilia Mora with 12 and Serenity Mora with 10.

MELBOURNE 40, VALLEY SPRINGS 35

Valley Springs was limited to 11 second-half points and suffered its first 3A-2 Conference loss of the season at Melbourne.

The Lady Tigers (21-4, 3-1) led 12-6 after one quarter and 24-15 at halftime before Melbourne went on a 15-2 run in the third quarter and took a 30-26 lead.

Lamarie Watkins had 15 points and Macy Willis 12 for Valley Springs.
