Easy Pressure Cooker Vanilla Sponge Cake Recipe

Craving for a homemade cake but don’t have an oven? Try this easy pressure cooker vanilla sponge cake recipe at home without an oven.

Ingredients All-purpose flour – 1.5 cup Granulated sugar – 1 cup Unsalted butter softened – 1/2 cup Eggs – 3 Milk – 1 cup Baking powder – 1 tsp Vanilla extract – 1 tsp

Step 1 Grease a round baking tin that fits inside your pressure cooker. Take a bowl and combine the softened butter and sugar until creamy and well blended.

Step 2 Beat in the eggs, one at a time, before adding the next one. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

Step 3 In another bowl, sift the flour and baking powder together. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Step 4 Pour the batter into the greased baking tin and smooth the top with a spatula. Add some water to the pressure cooker and place a heatproof stand or trivet inside.

Step 5 Place the baking tin onto the trivet. Close the pressure cooker without the whistle and cook it until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Step 6 Once cooked, remove the tin from the pressure cooker and let it cool. Decorate the cake as desired and enjoy.
