Decellularized Extracellular Matrix

A biomaterial with a network of macromolecules with varying composition and organization of tissue-specific proteins and polysaccharides. It is prepared from organs and tissues by decellularization (e.g., with a detergent) to mimic native microenvironment for tissue-specific functions.
