On November 27, the Shar Htoo Waw Technology team claimed responsibility for a drone attack on the MICC2 hall in Naypyidaw, which occurred during the wedding of the son of General Maung Maung Aye, the junta’s Chief of the General Staff for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
According to the statement, on November 25, the Kloud Drone team of the Shar Htoo Waw Technology team, in coordination with the Central Command and Naypyidaw Military Region of the National Unity Government (NUG), launched a joint attack on the MICC2 hall using fixed-wing drones.
On November 27, the Shar Htoo Waw Technology team took credit for a drone strike on the MICC2 hall in Naypyidaw, which happened during the wedding of General Maung Maung Aye's son, who is the junta’s Chief of the General Staff for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Based on the announcement, Shar Htoo Waw Technology's Kloud Drone team, in collaboration with the Central Command and Naypyidaw Military Region of the National Unity Government (NUG), staged a collective assault on the MICC2 hall using fixed-wing drones on November 25.
“The drone attack was carried out after receiving information that the wedding reception of the son of General Maung Maung Aye was scheduled to take place at the MICC2 hall in Naypyidaw on November 25, 2024, and that junta leaders would be in attendance. The attack by the Shar Htoo Waw Technology team led to the injuries and deaths of several police officers and soldiers who were providing security,” the statement said.
The statement also added, “Insider sources in Naypyidaw reported that some of the military generals attending the wedding fled in fear, causing chaos.”
The drone strike occurred following intel that the wedding reception of General Maung Maung Aye's son was set for November 25, 2024, at the MICC2 hall in Naypyidaw, with junta leaders present. The statement mentioned that the Shar Htoo Waw Technology team's assault resulted in the harm and fatalities of multiple police officers and soldiers tasked with security duties.
The same source also mentioned, "Internal informants in Naypyidaw indicated that certain military leaders panicked and fled from the wedding, leading to disorder."
Additionally, the statement mentioned that on November 5, the Kloud Drone team of the Shar Htoo Waw Technology team, in collaboration with the Naypyidaw Military Region of the NUG, carried out an attack on Naypyidaw Airport using fixed-wing kamikaze drones while junta chief Min Aung Hlaing was leaving for China.
During the attack, 1 major, 1 captain, 1 sergeant, 2 privates, and 2 airport security guards were killed, and 11 others were injured, according to the statement.
Furthermore, it was reported that the Kloud Drone team from Shar Htoo Waw Technology, working with the Naypyidaw Military Region of the NUG, conducted an assault on Naypyidaw Airport with fixed-wing kamikaze drones on November 5 as junta leader Min Aung Hlaing was departing for China.
According to the statement, 1 captain, 1 major, 1 sergeant, 2 privates, and 2 airport security guards lost their lives in the attack, while 11 others were wounded.
