Keep the Lights on Colorado 2024
Together we raised $53,000 to support Coloradans this fall!
Namaste Solar leaned into our mission of creating holistic wealth for the community by developing Keep the Lights On Colorado (KTLOC), an annual community giving campaign, which raised $53,000 for Coloradan households this fall. The campaign, now in its 5th year, raises funds to provide community solar subscriptions for low-income Coloradans, freeing up resources that families can reallocate toward other essential needs.
This year we exceeded our goal thanks to the amazing community of corporate sponsors and individual donors that came together to make a difference. Since this campaignâs inception, over $337,000 has been raised!
All funds raised by KTLOC go to Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC), a not-for-profit, who distributes the support. Working in Colorado for over three decades, EOC has demonstrated their commitment to addressing energy insecurity on the Front Range. The community solar subscriptions utilize the cost-savings benefits of solar to create more impact for those in need while also investing in cleaner air and healthier communities statewide.
Will you help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 to support 116 Colorado families?

ABOUT ENERGY OUTREACH COLORADO
Energy Outreach Colorado works to expand access to affordable energy for Coloradans who have less power, privilege and income. We work with community members facing energy insecurity so they have a voice in ensuring the equitability of energy access. EOC programs provide a direct impact for the people they serve by helping them afford their energy costs, worry less, and live in a warm and safe home.
- 1 in 4 households struggle with a high energy burden. (Energy burden is defined as the percentage of gross household income spent on energy costs.)
- These households are spending a disproportionate amount of their income on energy bills. The energy burden on low-income households is 3x that of higher income households.
- Households that meet or are below the 80% area median income threshold are often making difficult decisions because their home energy can cost more than 20% of their monthly income.
âThis summer, my home was so hot. It was unbearable, but I was afraid to turn on my swamp cooler because the cost was so high. I knew I needed help, and thankfully I was able to get connected to Energy Outreach Colorado. They enrolled me in their solar program, and when I went to pay my Xcel bill, they said I had a zero balance now. I was so relieved, and now I can afford to keep my home at a safe temperature. You all made my summer!â â Paul
