Naftogaz Group is working to attract American companies – their technologies, expertise and investments – to increase production in Ukraine. This was announced by CEO of Naftogaz Group Oleksiy Chernyshov at the meeting with Geoffrey Pyatt, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources and G7+ Coordinator of Ukraine’s efforts to assist the G7+ countries today, on 21 April 2023, in Washington, DC.
We discussed a number of issues. From Ukraine’s new role in Europe’s energy security system to the implementation of corporate governance reform. I am grateful to our colleagues for their ongoing dialogue and support of Ukraine. I am confident about our further fruitful cooperation,†– said Oleksiy Chernyshov following the meeting.
As a reminder, Oleksiy Chernyshov is currently on a working visit to Washington, D.C., where  he met representatives of the leading international law firm Covington & Burling LLP, which presented a strategy for recovery of USD 5 billion in compensation from russia for the seizure of Naftogaz Group’s assets in Crimea.
