JACKSON COUNTY, MI – A Jackson County man accidently shot himself Saturday morning while putting his gun into his holster.

Police and rescue crews were called at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, to a Summit Township home for a reported shooting, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
