Gonks are a firm favourite Christmas decoration for many thanks to the fact they're so adorable and look fantastic adorning festive shelves.

One woman has taken the obsession one step further, however, sharing that her home is full of them. Gonks, which are a mix of a gnome and a hobgoblin dating back to the 1960s, range in different sizes, and can be purchased from many different retailers with one to suit everybody's budget. And gonks flood 46-year-old Helen Williams' home each and every year. Her daughter, Meghan-Leigh, 21, showed off her mum's impressive collection of 30 bearded decorations, proving how much she adores them.

Meghan, who is an entertainer from Swindon, UK, said: "She loves collecting them and I find it so crazy! She has brought even more gonks this year and yet she's still wanting more - she'll never stop. I think that she might love her gonks more than she loves me."

To rival her love for gonks, however, is a pair of pals who have taken their love for the gonks one step further - by getting a permanent reminder of just how much they're obsessed. The besties got inked with a huge image of a gonk, and the word 'bestie' in a bold black font.

One of the tattoo owners shared the snaps on the Facebook group 'Get Your Gonk On' in 2022 which has more than 40,000 followers, and people were seriously impressed with the inking.

The pictures showed the woman's tattoo up close, along with her and her pal's matching ink. They show the pink gonks in all their glory, complete with long plaited grey hair and heart buttons running down the front of their jacket. The woman was so pleased with her new tattoo that she changed her profile picture on Facebook to show it off to a wider audience.

The woman who had the tattoo later admitted in the comments that the tattoo cost her £80, saying it was the 'most I've spent on a gonk yet", followed by crying with laughter faces.
