High street retailer Marks and Spencer is selling an array of budget-friendly perfumes that shoppers claim bear a striking resemblance to more expensive designer brands and last all day. M&S is renowned for its clothing and accessories, and is now catching the attention of fragrance enthusiasts.

On TikTok, influencer Debbie, who operates under the handle @beautyglowgirl and boasts an impressive 171.9k following, shared a number of products from M&S' fragrance collection. She found a host of scents that bear an uncanny resemblance to high-end perfumes.

In a caption accompanying her video, Debbie said: "You guys seem to love the perfume posts so here’s a round-up of my favourite Autumn @Marks&Spencer affordable fragrances. Now is the perfect time to stock up on these."

She then lists the different perfumes available from M&S, as well as their designer counterparts and prices. She added: "Marks & Spencer Soft Iris is £10 and has been compared to Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel which retails for £150. Marks and Spencer Pink Pepper is £10 and is supposed to be an affordable alternative for Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle which retails for £111.99.

"My absolute favourite from M&S is Warmth which is £12 and smells so similar to Le Labo’s Santal 33 - which was my go-to perfume until I found this. It retails for £170.

"Marks and Spencer Red Berries and Rose is £12.50 and is supposed to smell like Armani’s Si which retails for £130. Marks Midnight Blossom is £10 and is an affordable alternative for YSL’s Black Opium which retails for £125.

"And finally M&S White Coconut is £10 and smells similar to Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist for £24."

The post proved popular with followers, with many a number of people quick to comment beneath the video. It racked up more than 16k views and hundreds of likes from TikTokers.

Beneath the clip, one shopper said: "I love Warmth." Debbie replied that the perfume is "the best!!!"

Another person wrote: "I got the midnight blossom and it does smell like black opium! Only downside is it doesn’t last long but at that price I got a handbag sized one and just top it up during the day." Debbie replied to the comment and said: "I find spraying on clothes it lasts quite a while."

By snapping up the M&S alternatives, shoppers could save themselves hundreds of pounds. For Lancome fans, the high street retailer could save you around £90, while Coco Mademoiselle lovers could save roughly £98. Le Labo fans could could save themselves around £222 by opting for M&S' Warmth fragrance.
