The Instagram user took to the platform to share her hack in getting rid of dirty dishes. Her trick does not use any cleaning materials or anything which has chemicals in it. Yet she insists her 'tea bag hack' will work and remove any grime from your dishes simply by letting a used teabag do its work in water. Calling herself @lynsey_queenofclean she demonstrates how her method works. She said: "My all-time favourite TIPS! and perfect to share again for Christmas Donât throw away your used tea bagsâthey can be a lifesaver in the kitchen! If youâve got a dirty dish or pan, keep a tea bag aside and let it do the hard work for you." She then goes on to describe how her cleaning hack is a success. Lynsey said: "Hereâs how it works: 1. Fill your dirty dish with water. 2. Add the tea bag and let it soak while you enjoy your meal. 3. Watch as it breaks down grease, grime, and stuck-on food with ease. "Tea has been used for cleaning for centuries, thanks to the power of tannins! TRUST me, this simple trick really works. Give it a try and let me know what you think!" Her post drew a healthy response, from others who also added their own personal tips. One said: I like to pour oats over fat stuck on trays. It soaks up the fat and itâs a great way to feed the birds in winter, this also avoids any fat going down the drain too." Another responder suggested other uses could be made of the contents. She said: "I wouldn't just throw liquid like that down the drain I would make gravy using stock cube and vegetables stock. Put the pan on a, low heat and stir. Thanks." A cleaning expert, meanwhile, has shared a 'magic' technique she swears by to get grimy tableware sparkling clean with little to no effort involved. The Mirror reported how the hack highlighted by Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, is not just for kitchenware but elsewhere in the house too. Those wondering 'what is this miraculous cleaner?' discovered denture-cleaning tablets were the solution, brought to light by a clever member of the group, the Facebook user shared: "I was sorting out some items to take to a charity shop. I always wash things first. I found a bowl that used to have a plant pot in it." She explained how the local water full of limescale left its mark, clearly evident on the bowl. However: "This area has a lot of limescale in the water, as you can see from the bowl. A denture-cleaning tablet removed it. I don't wear dentures, but also use the tablets to soak net curtains in before washing. Very useful."Top Stories Don't Miss FollowMirrorFacebookX (Twitter)Comment MORE ONCleaningGet email updates with the day's biggest storiesSign upInvalid EmailSomething went wrong, please try again later. We use your sign-up to provide content in ways youâve consented to and improve our understanding of you.
