The former TOWIE star, who turns 44 in a few weeks, has been engaged to businessman Rami Hawash since he popped the question just over a year ago in a gorgeous beachside ceremony in the Maldives. Now a source tells OK! that, after taking time to focus on self-love and growth, Gemma will hopefully soon be ready to start making her wedding day dreams a reality. âGemma can't wait for her wedding day and is going to make sure it's amazing, she's inviting everyone - even people she has fallen out with publicly, she sees this wedding as a clean slate,â the source claimed. The couple have had some difficult times this year ( Image: @gemmacollins/Instagram) Jedward are two of the most important men in Gemma's life ( Image: WireImage) Gemma and Rami had a mixed time in 2024, with Gemma's mum Joan being in and out of hospital throughout the year, and the sad death of Rami's dad in June. Our source says that the couple have remained strong and Gemma's hoping they can look forward to a much more positive 2025. âMeeting Rami has changed her life and she is finally really happy and in love. He has made her so much more calm and grounded and has actually made her into a better person so she wants to share that with the world now.â Gemma has spoken openly about her dream of becoming a mum - and her unconditional love for Ramiâs 7-year-old son Tristan - and she showcased her maternal instincts recently by inviting identical twins John and Edward Grimes to spend the festive holiday with her at her Essex home. The sometimes divisive pair, who first found fame in 2006 on The X Factor before taking part in two seasons of Celebrity Big Brother, spoke recently about how Gemma offers them a safe and loving space during what is otherwise a really difficult time for them. At the time they paid a heart wrenching tribute her, describing her as "not only our mom but the core to the whole family". Now with Gemma becoming a much-needed BFF and possibly even a sort of mother figure, the twins are likely to play a big role in her big day with Rami, our source said. âShe's got such a close bond with Jedward now and they will be playing a really special part in the wedding,â they claimed. âShe loves those boys and is looking forward to spending more time with them for 2025, she's finally living the life she always dreamed of.â Gemma, who first met Rami in 2011, has also teased that the twins - who are godfathers to her pet pooches - might actually be walking her down the aisle instead of her dad Alan. âI joked to my mum that I might have them walk me down the aisle â they are my dogâs godfathers, after all,â she told us last year. âTheyâre honestly like family to me, I adore them.â Gemma and the twins have been BFFs for years now ( Image: Dave Benett/Getty Images for Fat) The trio first met on the set of Angela Scanlonâs RTà show Ask Me Anything, filmed in Dublin, back in 2021 and their bond has blossomed into a genuine friendship. Gemma has described them as âthe kindest people to me and real friendsâ, and the feeling is clearly mutual. They once described her âa solid personâ in their lives, and said there was much more to their famous pal than meets the eye. âThere's a lot more to Gemma, cos obviously everyone has this opinion of Gemma but she can get deep and she's had things happen in her life." Backing up the boysâ words, Gemma told us earlier this year sheâd developed a completely different outlook on life and was all about respecting Mother Nature and filling her soul with wholesome things like gardening, good friends and love. But in a nod to her famous GC persona, she also said she wanted three weddings - and one of them would be in the woods because she wanted it to have an âearthy vibeâ. Of course the other important person on the day would likely be Ramiâs son Tristan, who has had Gemma in his life since he was three. âSince day one, itâs been so easy to love him,â Gemma told us previously. âWeâve got such a bond, like heâs my [biological] child anyway.â Our source says that despite her new wholesome vibe, Gemmaâs wedding to fiancé Rami would still be nothing short of fabulous - just what a diva like the GC deserves! âGemma is gearing up for her wedding day of dreams and it won't be short of extravagance, it will be typical GC style with no expense spared.â Top Stories Don't Miss FollowMirrorFacebookX (Twitter)Comment MORE ONJedwardRami HawashThe Only Way Is EssexGemma CollinsCeleb obsessed?
