Iranian foreign affairs analyst Mohammad Ghaderi discussed the Los Angeles fires on a January 11, 2025 appearance on Ofogh TV (Iran). He said that he doesn't want to go so far as to suggest that the Los Angeles fires are karma for Gaza, but it is impossible to ignore the money America is paying for the bombs dropped on Gaza.
Iranian TV host Mohammad Reza Bagheri responded that the reason for this weakness and incompetence is that instead of spending the money domestically on its own civil society, America sent bombs and money to the "child-killing Israelis."
Mohammad Ghaderi: "Although we are sad for those [in Los Angeles] who lost their property, the country that claimed it would turn the Middle East into Hell, and claimed that no one can stand up against it... I do not want to go as far as saying that what happened in Los Angeles is karma for Gaza, but we cannot ignore the high cost and all the dollars spent on bombs, and filling the pockets of Netanyahu and his cronies, so that they could orchestrate what has been happening in Gaza. In any case, this is a parallel event, but I am not going to discuss that."
Mohammad Reza Bagheri: "Besides karma, the reason for this weakness and incompetence is that instead of spending the money domestically to strengthen the defense systems of civil society like firefighting, the money was sent as bombs or cash to the child-killing Israelis. Obviously, you were blind-sided. This is on top of the natural phenomenon. This is a very logical turn of events..."
Ghaderi: "Yes, it is a worldly thing."
Bagheri: "What happened is very simple and clear, and your point is indeed correct."
