to establish institutions and promote diplomacy,
introduced a new wind to Japan.

1989年の金閣寺から始まり、清水寺、平等院、東寺、二条城、法隆寺、唐招提寺、東大寺など日本屈指の名刹に舞台を設え、「東洋と西洋の出会い」 をテーマに開催してきた世界でも唯一無二の奉納コンサートです。世界で活躍する200組を超えるアーティストが、その比類なき珠玉のパフォーマンスを一夜限りの舞台で披露します。
Beginning with Kinkakuji Temple in 1989, OTOBUTAI has been held at some of Japan's most famous temples, including Kiyomizu Temple, Byodoin Temple, Toji Temple, Nijo Castle, Horyuji Temple, Toshodaiji Temple, and Todaiji Temple, with the theme "The East Meets the West." More than 200 artists from around the world will present their fantastic performances on this one-night-only stage.
