We have some important updates to share with you regarding changes in our leadership team. The growth and success of Mautic is built on the dedication and passion of our community members, and it's always a bittersweet moment when we bid farewell to our team leads and welcome new ones into the fold.

Product Team leadership change

Firstly, we would like to announce that Mattias Michaux from Dropsolid is stepping down as the Product Team Lead. Mattias has played a crucial role in shaping Mautic's product direction, and his contribution has been invaluable in areas like improving and updating our Docker image and Composer installation, automating our release processes and putting in place the foundations for ensuring that we have a solid release cadence going forward.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mattias for his dedication, hard work, and leadership during his tenure.

We are also excited to announce that Joey Keller, who has been serving as Assistant Team Lead, will be stepping up to fill Mattias's shoes as the new Product Team Lead.

Joey has been working intensively with Mautic since 2020 and has been involved in the Mautic community for many years. He is currently Assistant Team Lead in the Product Team at Mautic and CTO at Friendly. Joey's commitment and understanding of Mautic's product landscape make him an excellent choice for this role. His goal is to create a consistent and logical user experience, eliminate existing inconsistencies and further improve key features such as the email builder.

He is particularly keen to enhance collaboration with companies that program their own developments for Mautic so that these can be made available to the community. As Product Lead, he also plans to establish regular feedback rounds to address the most important concerns of marketers who work with the tool on a daily basis. As before, Joey will also be heavily involved in the Mautic forums. We are confident that he will continue to drive our product's success and innovation.

Rahul Shinde, who had applied for the role of Assistant Team Lead, will be stepping into Joey's vacated role. Rahul has over 15 years of expertise

in software development and open-source technologies, and he has been actively involved with Mautic for several years, contributing to both the core product and tailored plugins.  Rahul's enthusiasm and fresh ideas will undoubtedly bring a new perspective to the Product team, and we look forward to seeing his contributions in this new role. Rahul will be focusing more on the engineering side, ensuring that developers are effectively onboarded and that as a product we’re continually moving forward, driving technical excellence and innovation.

In addition, we have changes within our Marketing Team. Oluwatobi Owolabi, who has led the Marketing Team for several years and recently stepped back to Assistant Team Lead when Sven Döring joined as Team Lead, is now stepping down.

Oluwatobi's leadership has been instrumental in shaping Mautic's marketing strategy, and his efforts have significantly contributed to our community's growth.

He’s also been a dedicated meetup and MautiCamp organizer and Track Lead for every Mautic Conference Global event we’ve held to date. We express our deepest gratitude to Oluwatobi for his dedication and outstanding service.
