MANILA, Philippines <\/strong>\u2014 Barangay Ginebra welcomed the return of athletic wingman Jamie Malonzo by tearing apart Blackwater, 86-63 on Sunday in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.<\/p>\r\r
The Gin Kings took full control of the game after outscoring the Bossing, 37-23 in the third quarter.<\/p>\r\r
They led by as many as 25 points, while limiting high-scoring Blackwater import George King to just 27 markers. <\/p>\r\r It was a huge bounce-back win from Ginebra, which bowed to NorthPort a few days back, 119-116.<\/p>\r\r The Gin Kings improved to 6-3, to tie Converge and Eastern.<\/p>\r\r Malonzo, who is coming off a calf injury, scored eight points on 2-for-7 shooting from the field.<\/p>\r\r Ginebra's outstanding defense also held Blackwater to a conference-low 63 points.<\/p>\r\r \"We weren't shooting the ball well but we came with our defensive chops tonight,\" said Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone after the game. \"That's something we did not show up with NorthPort. You've got to give NorthPort a lot of credit.
