(UPDATE)<\/strong><\/span> TWO-TIME Olympic boxer Eumir Marcial on Saturday denied allegations that he was cheating on his wife.<\/p>\r\r
Speaking to reporters in Zamboanga City on Saturday, Marcial belied wife Princess' allegations that he used their savings to build a house for his alleged mistress.<\/p>\r\r
\"That is not true... first of all, our joint account is under her control. She currently holds the title deed to our house in Manila and our properties, and what she said that I am building a house for another woman isn't true. I can't even build a house for my own parents,\" he said in Filipino.<\/p>\r\r The Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist admitted that he could not provide a home for his parents, following his stint at the Paris Olympics that saw him eliminated at the first round.<\/p>\r\r Marcial also said the issue with his wife is supposed to be a personal matter.<\/p>\r\r \"I felt like this was when love is not the one she wants from me, because this was supposed to be a personal matter. Why should the media be involved?\" he said.<\/p>\r\r \"If we were able to amicably part ways, I would have calmly settled things with her. I can split the properties in Manila. Why doesn't she want that? Why did she have to air her grievances to the media and ask for sympathy from the people?\" Marcial added.<\/p>\r\r The boxer said his friends and her family know that it came to this point because of her attitude.<\/p>\r\r He also said the girl he met was just a friend from Zamboanga.<\/p>\r\r In separate Facebook posts on Saturday, Princess said the whole press conference revealed the true colors of the boxer.<\/p>\r\r \"Please do remember every word that he said from this interview. From start to finish.
